Don’t come at the youth like they ain’t got lyrics. If you listen to trap, don’t expect Ghostface bars. If you’re riding the boom bap wave that has been building for the last couple years, you know damn well there is plenty of talent just waiting for even the slightest recognition. As a respected voice in the game, MASS APPEAL use our forum to make sure these young cats with minds full of witty, unpredictable raps get their chance to be listened to by you.
Nowaah The Flood is a nasty MC we have been introducing you to in increments. First we let you see how he held his own next to a legend like AG (DITC), and then, just last week, we supplied yall with a track that stacked him up against Poison Ring Regime general Killa Kali. In both cases he flexed a grimy East coast cadence packed with the kind of lines that make even the most discerning head grin (inwardly, at least).
We like to keep it easy on Monday mornings, so this leak from Nowaah The Flood and Toronto producer Ol Man 80zz (of The Lost Info) is perfect. The way 80zz has the choral vocal sample and soul organ trade-off is smooth as hell. And Nowaah does like his name suggests and straight submerges the soundscape. “Mudd” comes off kinda like a Southern spiritual. Press play and nod your head to this now, and remember the name because we’re sure Nowaah will be making noise in 2018.
